In-form Forest triumph at Liberty

Striker McGoldrick smashed home following a scramble in the penalty area in the first half to extend Forest’s unbeaten run to 13 matches.

Swansea, who had lost just once in 14 league games ahead of Forest’s trip to the Liberty Stadium, bossed possession but were unable to break down a resolute Forest defence.

David Cotterill was presented with an opportunity to draw the Swans level with 20 minutes to go, but the on-loan winger fired wastefully over the bar from the edge of the area.

And on this evidence Billy Davies’ Forest, who unbeaten away from home this season, look capable of mounting a push for automatic promotion.
