Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta has been talking about potential January recruits at the Camp Nou.
The veteran Spain schemer, who has just signed a contract for life with Barca, has no doubts the two players who have been heavily linked with a move to Barcelona would be good fits.
Liverpool playmaker Philippe Coutinho remains on the radar of Ernesto Valverde after the club saw three bids for the player rejected in the summer.
Meanwhile, Colombian defender Yerry Mina has also been tipped to make the move from Palmeiras to strengthen Valverde’s defence.
Asked about the two players specifically, Iniesta, 33, said: “I think they would be two important reinforcements to the squad.
“If the club wants to strengthen those positions, it should be with players that can be prepared to withstand the pressure of a club like this, and they would be two big signings.
“But nothing has happened, so it’s difficult.”
Coutinho last week refused to commit his future to Liverpool after submitting an official transfer request in the summer.
The Brazilian will not come cheap fort Barcelona, with a fee in excess of £100million required to get anywhere near the negotiating table with Liverpool.
