Inter looking to offload Shaqiri – Report

Inter signed Shaqiri from Bayern Munich on a four-and-a-half-year contract in January but, according to Tuttosport, Roberto Mancini is already looking to offload the Switzerland winger as he bids to sign Mohamed Salah from Chelsea.

Stoke, who had been in the running to sign Shaqiri before he opted to move to the San Siro, are likely to have been alerted by the news as their pursuit of Yevhen Konoplyanka continues to drag on.

Stoke chairman Peter Coates told Radio Stoke: “It’s been going on for about 10 years already I think….and it’s still going on so we will see where we get with it.

“Football is a bit messy at times and you have to accept that. You get a lot of irons in the fire, some work and some don’t.”

Santon, meanwhile, rejoined Inter on loan from Newcastle in January before later making the move permanent after proving his fitness.

He too could be allowed to leave for offers in excess of €5million euros, however, reports Tuttosport, with Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew linked with the left-back having managed him at St James’ Park.
