Liverpool have been given a boost as a reported target has declared that he may leave current club Inter in the near future.
Last month, it was reported by FCInterNews that Inter rejected interest from both Liverpool and Tottenham in the summer to keep goalkeeper Samir Handanovic.
His current deal ends in 2019, with Liverpool eyeing a goalkeeping solution with question marks hanging over both Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius.
Now, Handanovic himself has given the Premier League duo a boost by revealing that his five-year stint at the Nerazzurri could be coming to a conclusion, with a new deal no closer.
The 33-year-old spoke to Inter’s official site and revealed that there is a possibility he ends his career somewhere other than Inter.
“I don’t know if I’ll end my career here”, Handanovic said.
“My only objective is to play until I am 40, then we’ll see what happen in the future. Now is it time for Inter to step up and make this club return where it belongs.
“We’ve made some improvements but the next month will be decisive, Inter have done nothing yet.”
