Inter star blames translator after rubbishing Man Utd, City links

Milan Skriniar insists he plans to stay at Inter Milan for the foreseeable future after denying claims he fancied a move to the Premier League with Manchester United or Manchester City.
The Slovakian defender has emerged as one of Serie A’s leading defensive stars this season and has been tipped to be a big-money target for the Premier League big guns this summer.
An interview with Slovakian newspaper Sport this month put City and United on red alert, after he name-checked both clubs and described the Premier League as the most beautiful in the world.
He also claimed that an incredible offer had been made for him in January but he decided to stay at Inter until at least the summer.
However, the €40million-rated centre-half insists he was misquoted and used his Instagram account to pledge his loyalty to the Nerazzurri.
“I never thought or said that I wanted to leave Inter,” Skriniar wrote on Instagram.
“It is an honour for me to be here! I don’t know who translated the words from Slovakian, but they didn’t do it very well.”
Skriniar joined Inter on a five-year deal from Sampdoria over the summer, but such has been his progress at the San Siro that Luciano Spalletti’s side are looking to already offer him a new contract.
