Today’s edition of Corriere Dello Sport report that Napoli are trying to renew Zielinski’s contract, amid interest from abroad and are confident over doing so.

The Poland midfielder, 23, is under contract until 2021, but he is believed to have a release clause in his deal, which Liverpool are keen on triggering.

Jurgen Klopp was first linked with the then-Udinede star when he first took over at Anfield in October 2015, but despite holding talks with the player over a £13million move, the Reds baulked at his asking price.

In February Corriere Dello Sport reported that Napoli had slapped a €65million price tag on the midfielder.

While last week Arsenal emerged as late contenders to secure the signing of the Napoli star, according to Corriere dello Mezzogiorno.

With all the speculation surrounding the player’s future Napoli are believed to be working to remove the release clause in Zielinski’s contract, as they believe he will be a big part of the their future.
The Serie A club are keen to tie Zielinksi, who has scored seven goals and grabbed three assists, down until 2023.
