Lorenzo Pellegrini’s agent is currently in London amid transfer talk that Arsenal and Tottenham could make a play for the Roma star.
Calciomercato report that Giampiero Pocetta is in the English capital, but fail to detail whether he is discussing a move for the 22-year-old midfielder.
Pellegrini has emerged as one of Roma’s key men in recent seasons and he scored four goals and grabbed seven assists in 33 games last season.
The report claims Pellegrini “wants Champions League football next season and he would be interested in playing for Spurs and even Arsenal”.
Inter Milan are also believed to be interested in the player, who is believed to have a release clause of between €30million and €35million.
Roma, who have today appointed Paulo Fonseca as their new head coach, want Pellegrini to stay and aim to tie him to a new deal, eliminating his buyout and increasing his £34,000-per-week wages.
“Pellegrini is only thinking about improving with, and for, Roma,” he said.
“These issues don’t count for now, it’s normal that Pellegrini is liked. Lorenzo is happy though, he’s already chosen Roma once.
“Then, when it’s time, we’ll sit down with Monchi again.”
According to Sky Sport, PSG have also identified Pellegrini as a possible replacement for Adrien Rabiot, who is out of contract this month.
