Leeds United have announced the signings of Jack Harrison and Ben White ahead of what is expected to be a busy week for the club.
The duo move to Elland Road on season-long loan deals from Premier League sides Manchester City and Brighton respectively.
Winger Harrison returns to Leeds for a second spell, having spent the entire 2018/19 season with Marcelo Bielsa’s side, where he made 42 appearances.
Defender White, meanwhile, moves to Yorkshire having made just two senior appearances for the Seagulls, but having impressed during a spell on loan with Peterborough in League One last season. He has been on Leeds’ radar all summer long.
Speaking to LUTV, Harrison is hoping the side can go one better than last season.
“It’s exciting to be back, the end of last year was disappointing with how it ended, so this year myself and the lads are looking to redeem ourselves and build on last year,” said Harrison.
“I think most people felt that we should have gone up last season, but we are all looking to get back at it now and hopefully we can get the promotion this time around.
“I’ve definitely learnt a lot in the last 12 months, if you look at my performances throughout the season I think I grew as a player and by the end of the season I was really getting going.
“I’m looking to use that as a foundation now and build from that going into the new season.
“It’s been good to see the lads again and I’m looking forward to catching up with them all properly.”
Both Harrison and White joined in with first-team training on Monday morning.
