Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho has insisted that he is solely focused on continuing his stunning form, despite speculation over his future in Germany.
Sancho netted in his seventh consecutive home Bundesliga appearance on Saturday to earn his side a 1-0 win over Freiburg, with the England international taking his tally to 17 goals along with 18 assists for the campaign.
The 19-year-old was heavily linked with United last summer, while Liverpool and Chelsea have also been credited with interest this season.
Indeed, Sancho reportedly remains high on the list of summer targets for United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who is said to be after a winger having strengthened his midfield with Bruno Fernandes.
Speaking after Saturday’s game, however, Sancho said that he was only concentrating on his on-field duties rather than the speculation surrounding his name.
“I don’t really look at all them things,” the attacker told the Daily Express. “I just concentrate on my team and take it game by game.
“That’s the most important thing for me now.”
Sancho’s goals have played a huge part in helping Dortmund to third in the Bundesliga table this term, four points off leaders Bayern Munich with nine games remaining.
Sancho will play a key part for England at this summer’s European Championships if he can avoid injury, with fellow forwards Harry Kane and Marcus Rashford struggling to stay fit.
In other news, United full-back Luke Shaw has lavished praise on striker Mason Greenwood, claiming that the 18-year-old has what it takes to reach the top.
Greenwood has surpassed expectations after being introduced to first-team action by Solskjaer this season, scoring 11 times in 34 appearances.
