Manchester United will part ways with Jadon Sancho in January with three clubs keen on a deal, Arsenal are chasing a hugely-talented Senegalese prospect, while there is a worrying update on Bernardo Silva’s Manchester City future just weeks after he signed a new deal.

JADON SANCHO TO QUIT MAN UTD AS THREE DESTINATIONAL EMERGE

Jadon Sancho has reportedly decided he wants out at Manchester United as soon as possible following his clash with Erik ten Hag.

The winger has endured a frustrating time at Old Trafford since a £73m move from Borussia Dortmund in summer 2021, scoring just 12 goals over 84 appearances so far.

To that end, it is safe to say Sancho has had a hard time in living up to his billing as the Red Devils’ fifth most costly signing of all time.

Last season, the player spent a spell away from Old Trafford, undergoing a bespoke training programme in the Netherlands. And while Erik ten Hag has since revealed the player has also endured a difficult spell with his mental health, the pair will have seen the 2023/24 season as the chance for a fresh start.

Having been involved in their first three matches of the season, albeit off the substitutes bench, the outlook appeared good for Sancho.

However, his axing from the squad that lost 3-1 at Arsenal has thrown Sancho back to square one – with the winger claiming he feels ‘scapegoated’ and accusing his manager of concealing the truth over his explanations for his exclusion.

Now with peace talks between the two men failing to see a solution reached, speculation is mounting that Sancho may already have played his final game for Manchester United.

Former England striker Darren Bent reckons Ten Hag’s comments have seen Sancho reach the end of his tether.

“If he had the intention of staying at Manchester United, of wanting to stay at the club, or had a burning desire to stay, you do it in-house,” Bent said on talkSPORT.

Three suitors in the mix for Jadon Sancho signing

Bent continued: “You go to the manager’s office and you say, ‘look, I don’t really like what you did there. If my training standards are not good enough, then just tell me’.

“I’m sure he’s told him before and then we will try and deal with it.

“But the fact he went public tells me he wants out of there. He’s had enough.

‘Maybe the challenge is too big for him, which is a shame because he’s got a lot of ability, he’s got talent. Maybe the Premier League is too quick for him.”

Bent added: “Ten Hag has given him every possible opportunity by the way, by sending him away to try and get himself fit. He’s come back and it hasn’t worked.

“That tells me he’s thinking ‘enough’s enough, get me out of here’.”

With United already looking into possible replacements – former Aston Villa and Everton winger Anwar El Ghazi has been touted as a target – it seems clubs are already queuing up at the chance of bringing in Sancho for what could be a cut-price fee.

The 23-year-old was the subject of a failed move by Al-Ettifaq on the Saudi transfer deadline last Thursday. However, Steven Gerrard’s side remain keen on a potential deal and will reportedly look to resurrect a possible move in January.

With the winter window opening for official business in just 111 days, Sancho is also being linked with a return to the Bundesliga with both Bayern Munich and his former club Borussia Dortmund also keen on a deal, per SportsBILD.

At this stage it is not yet known whether their intentions would be to sign Sancho on loan or on a permanent deal.
