Agent of Chelsea, Tottenham target confirms talks with two other clubs
The agent of Tottenham target Jeremie Boga has refused to say if Chelsea will activate their buyback clause on the Sassuolo star.
Boga has burst into life this season, his second in Serie A, scoring eight goals in 24 league appearances and providing an additional two assists.
The 23-year-old’s form has been of interest to Chelsea, who sold him to Sassuolo in 2017 but retained a buyback clause – and could either re-integrate the player back at Stamford Bridge or sell him on straight away for a profit.
Several clubs are queuing up for Boga, including Premier League rivals Tottenham, as well as Brighton and Everton – while many of Serie A’s leading sides are also interested.
Chelsea hold the power if they decide to activate their option to re-sign Boga, but his agent and brother has not been able to say whether or not that will happen.
“At this moment, I really couldn’t say,” Daniel Boga told Calciomercato.
“I had talks with Napoli, Atalanta and other European clubs. I haven’t had contact with Milan yet, so I don’t know if the reports of their interest in Jeremie are accurate.
“We always have to look at the sporting project, but Milan are a big club and can always be interesting.”
Boga has been capped at senior international level by Ivory Coast, and has reportedly attracted the interest of Barcelona as well.
