Manchester United are set to miss out on the summer signing of Juventus star Alex Sandro, according to reports.

The Daily Telegraph claims that United boss Jose Mourinho has been left a frustrated figure as it appears Sandro is slipping through his grasp.

It was claimed last week that Red Devils chief Ed Woodward would seal a deal for the Brazil international when Mourinho gives him the go-ahead.

Sandro is believed to be top of Mourinho’s wanted list and The Times recently claimed that United have agreed personal terms with the 27-year-old, only to find an agreement with Juventus out of their reach.

However, the Telegraph are now claiming that the United hierarchy have blocked the deal due to the fact they don’t want to be left with a stockpile of defenders, and that they believe the money would be better spent elsewhere.

Sources in France recently suggested that Sandro has also agreed terms with PSG.
