Desperate Serie A side slash Liverpool, Arsenal target’s fee in bid to get rid

Reports claim Juventus are willing to accept a reduced fee for Aaron Ramsey this summer, with Liverpool and Arsenal among those thought to be interested.

The 30-year-old moved on a free transfer to Turin in the summer of 2019 after 11 years at Arsenal. He is about to conclude the second year of a four-year deal with the Italian giants. But it appears as though his days with the Old Lady may now be numbered, with multiple reports suggesting that he will leave.

The Wales international has enjoyed mixed fortunes with Juve. Never far away from an injury, he has started only 24 Serie A games across two seasons, scoring five goals.

The Caerphilly-born ace has enjoyed 65 outings in all competitions but may be back in the Premier League in 2021-2022. Liverpool, Everton, Crystal Palace and Tottenham have all been linked with the schemer.

And it was reported earlier this week that he is keen to re-join Arsenal ahead of next season. It remains to be seen where he ends up, but any suitor might not have to pay a king’s ransom.

Tutto Juve claim Juventus are willing to drop their asking price to just £10m. That is because they are desperate to get his hefty salary off the books as soon as possible.

It has been a poor season for the Bianconeri as they sit fifth with just one match remaining. And manager Andrea Pirlo wants to rebuild for a tilt at the title next term.

Ramsey a possible Wijnaldum replacement

Liverpool are set to lose Georginio Wijnaldum in the off-season. The Dutchman has given no indication that he is prepared to extend his stay.

Man Utd will pay the £60m asking price for Raphael Varane and want more defenders, while Arsenal look set to let David Luiz and Willian go in the summer.

Bayern Munich and Barcelona are reportedly waiting to pounce and Jurgen Klopp will be seeking a replacement. The Reds have been linked with many players ahead of the transfer window opening.

But, with finances tight, it may be case of clubs just getting what they can afford. Therefore a move for Ramsey might make sense given his record in the Premier League.

The Welshman scored 64 goals from 369 appearances in all competitions for the Gunners, with many assists as well. He is injury prone but, at his best, could be real asset to the London outfit.

Jurgen Klopp TEAMtalk

The shadow of the Emirates may well hang over any potential summer move. Ramsey was a popular figure at the club.

Mikel Arteta will strengthen and a move for the former Cardiff City loan star would help appease the disgruntled Arsenal fans.
