European heavyweights keeping tabs on star Arsenal won’t sell for less than £43m

Bukayo Saka Arsenal

Juventus and Atletico Madrid are reportedly keeping tabs on an Arsenal star that the club are refusing to sell for less than £43million.

Bukayo Saka has become an instrumental player for club and country over the past six months. Indeed, the winger has five Premier League appearances and four starts so far for Mikel Arteta’s men this term. The 20-year-old also played a major role as England reached the final of Euro 2020 over the summer.

While the Gunners are reluctant to lose a player of Saka’s quality, that has not stopped clubs chasing his signature.

According to Calciomercato, Juve are monitoring the player’s progress. However, they also face competition from Atletico to land the talented and versatile forward.

The report adds that Arsenal are fully aware of interest in Saka. But they will not let him leave for any less than £43m (€50m).

Saka only penned a new four-year deal with the club in July 2020 and could be in line for a pay rise if he keeps up his current form.

Arteta to be backed again in January to move for Noa Lang

Arteta to be backed again in January to move for Noa Lang

Mikel Arteta will be backed again by the Arsenal hierarchy as they plot a move for Noa Lang, while ex-Premier League players weigh in on the current goalkeeping position at the Emirates.

The attacker scored seven goals and registered 10 assists for the Gunners last season before starring for the Three Lions.

However, Saka received racist messages after he, Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford all missed from the penalty spot in England’s loss to Italy in the final.

Saka still not the finished article

Saka played the full 90 mins as the Gunners won at Burnley on Saturday. However, Arteta believes that there are aspects of his game that he still needs to work on.

“Well, he hasn’t had a lot of preparation physically,’ said the Gunners boss. “I think there are still things to improve there, but he is trying hard. He is another one who struggled in the final minutes.

“But it’s great that he’s able to suffer and somehow come through that and manage these difficulties and adversities during games where it is not really going for him.

“That is part of football. He had parts where he was brilliant and then he struggled and then he was brilliant again.

“That is better than being brilliant and then to struggle, struggle and struggle. So it’s part of his development and I’m really happy with him.”
