Tottenham have been offered their pick of up to six Juventus players after a meeting was held with Juventus director Fabio Paratici.
The nine-times reigning Italian champions are unlikely to be heavy spenders this summer. That is unless they can offload a number of their fringe players.
With one of the most-inflated squads in world football, the Serie A giants are looking to trim their pool this summer.
Therefore, it was little surprise to learn that Paratici was in London this week to hold talks with Spurs officials.
His trip to London has been well covered by the Italian media with il Gazzetta dello Sport and SportMediaSet documenting his journey.
They state, via Sport Witness, that Paratici is looking to present Juve’s assets to their ‘rich’ Premier League counterparts. Spurs are seen as just one such club who can pick up some of their unwanted players.
As such, the papers believe Juventus have offered Tottenham six players whom they can sign. Frederico Bernardeschi, Douglas Costa and Alex Sandro are perhaps the most exciting of the sextuplet listed.
All three men have struggled for game time this season. They’re also not thought to be in new boss Andrea Pirlo’s thinking. Costa and Sandro were on Wednesday linked with a move to Man Utd in a €50m double deal.
Bernardeschi too has also been linked with United in the past. He would cost in the region of €35m and remains highly regarded. It’s stated the Italian would be off interest to Jose Mourinho given his wish ‘to recruit a left-sided attacker’.
Furthermore, Sami Khedira, Daniele Rugani and Mattia De Sciglio have also been offered to Spurs.
Reports earlier this summer suggested Juve could try and tempt Spurs into selling unsettled midfielder Tanguy Ndombele. Former Arsenal man Aaron Ramsey was the name mentioned at the top in what would be a controversial deal.
Mourinho encouraged after Wilson chat
Mourinho, meanwhile, is also said to be on the lookout for a new striker as cover for Harry Kane.
One name that has been frequently mentioned is Bournemouth’s Callum Wilson.
According to a report, the 28-year-old is now Mourinho’s top target. What’s more, the Portuguese coach has taken significant steps towards striking a deal.
Mourinho and Wilson have reportedly spoken on the phone, with Wilson offering encouragement over a move.
The Englishman is reportedly keen on a switch to north London and is of the belief he would get game time as Kane’s back-up.
