Juventus switch targets as Arsenal ‘turn down Alexis approach’

Alexis Sanchez: Staying at Arsenal

Alexis Sanchez: Should be fit for

Juventus will turn their attentions elsewhere after Arsenal reportedly rejected their advances for Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez.

Gunners manager Arsene Wenger has no desire to sell the Chile international despite reports in the Italian press that the 27-year-old is growing unsettled at the Emirates Stadium and was trying to force through a move to Juventus.

Former Barcelona man Sanchez has been targeted by several clubs for this summer, with Bayern Munich also keen, but he remains key to Wenger’s plans.

The Chilean has yet to sign a new deal at the Emirates but Wenger has also insisted he is confident the player will commit his future to the Gunners.

Juventus are now thought to be exploring a deal for former Manchester United forward Javier Hernandez. ‘Chicharito’ enjoyed an excellent campaign with Bayer Leverkusen and is thought to be available for around £16million, while Romelu Lukaku and Christian Benteke remain possible targets.
