The 26-year-old linked up with his new team-mates in Belgium on Saturday morning and is due to finalise his move at the Valley on Monday.

Kashi will watch the Addicks take on Sint-Truiden on Saturday evening and he will become the club’s fourth summer signing following Patrick Bauer, El-Hadji Ba and Simon Makeniok.

He began his career with Chateauroux in France, making his debut in 2008 and soon becoming a regular in their midfield.

After four more impressive seasons, Kashi joined Metz and played for them in Ligue 2 and, after their promotion, Ligue 1.

Kashi’s performances earned him a first Algeria call against Senegal and he made an appearance off the bench in the closing stages.
