Keane would ‘love to see’ Everton star at Man United
Former Manchester United captain Roy Keane has admitted that he would to see Everton star Seamus Coleman make the move to Old Trafford.
The Republic of Ireland right-back has long been linked with a move to United and Jose Mourinho is expected to strengthen his defensive unit in this summer’s transfer window.
Keane believes that a move for Coleman at this stage of his career would give the 28-year-old vital European experience that can only help his international career.
He said in the Daily Mail: “I’d love to see Seamus at Man United. It would suit him down to the ground.
“Obviously, he’s at a very good club in Everton. He isn’t getting any younger. From a selfish point of view, from an Irish point of view, you want players like Seamus playing in the Champions League and getting a taste of football at that level.
“Saying that, joining United might not mean Champions League at this moment in time.”
