Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool players send emotional coronavirus message
Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool’s first-team squad have sent an emotional message to health workers on the frontline fighting the coronavirus pandemic.
The message was led by German boss Klopp, and released shortly after 8pm on Thursday night when the United Kingdom stood together to applaud the health system’s workers.
Klopp labelled NHS workers “incredible people” as they battle to save lives in the midst of the Covid-19 disease, which has disrupted the world.
He said: “Hello. Myself and the staff of LFC would like to take this opportunity to deliver a message to say thank you to all the incredible people who work in the health services, all the health workers, if you want, out there.
“It’s unbelievable what you are doing and on behalf of all of us at LFC I would like to say thank you. Or how we would say in Germany, vielen dank.”
The video message also included messages from a series of first-team players, as well as staff from both Liverpool and Liverpool FC Women’s teams.
James Milner said: “Sending a massive thank you to all the health care workers in the UK and all over the world, for the incredible job you are all doing.
“You are so much appreciated by everyone, thank you so much.”
While Andy Robertson said: “We appreciate the amazing jobs that you do, thank you.”
Trent Alexander-Arnold also had a message, he said: “Thank you for being the world’s heroes when we needed you the most.”

Liverpool club captain Jordan Henderson said: “You are our heroes, thank you.”
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain said: “There is nothing else that we can say for what you are doing for us, thank you.”
Joe Gomez added: “Thank you for everything you do for us.”
