Klopp key as Liverpool lead Man Utd in race for Arsenal contract rebel
Liverpool are ready to resume their efforts to sign a star Arsenal midfielder, according to the latest reports.
Ramsey is expected leave Arsenal at the end of the season, with reports claiming that there is no new contract offer on the table for the midfielder.
The Gunners are now preparing to lose the 27-year-old on a free next summer, after a sudden breakdown in communications between the club and the player, despite Ramsey being keen to stay.
The Wales star was said to be ready to commit his future to Unai Emery’s men but the Daily Mirror claims that there is now no contract to sign, as AC Milan are linked with a move for the player.
Now, according to the Metro on Sunday, Liverpool will continue their efforts to sign Ramsey after failing with a summer bid to bring the midfielder to Anfield.
Their report claims that Liverpool are ahead of the chasing pack – which apparently includes the likes of Manchester United – because Ramsey is excited by the idea of playing under Jurgen Klopp.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain made a similar move to the one Ramsey would make, joining Liverpool from Arsenal in the summer of 2017, and Ramsey will be hoping for a similar career rejuvenation.
