Klopp sends scouts to monitor £31.5m-rated Werder Bremen midfielder

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is keeping close tabs on £31.5million-rated Werder Bremen midfielder Milot Rashica with the aim to sign him in summer, according to reports.
The 23-year-old has impressed so far this campaign, tallying 10 goals and four assists in 21 appearances in all competitions for the Bundesliga outfit.
And according to the Daily Mail, Klopp is considering triggering Rashica’s £31.5million release clause in the summer.
The Liverpool boss reportedly sent scouts to Werder’s game against RB Leipzig on Saturday to monitor the Kosovo international, whilst keeping tabs on Leipzig target Timo Werner.
Rashica made the swap to northwest Germany from Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem in January 2018 where he signed a deal keeping him at the club until July 2022.
Since then, he has made 61 appearances for Florian Kohfeldt’s side in all competitions, scoring 23 in the process and setting up 10, whilst establishing himself as one of Werder’s most important players.
Despite finishing eighth last season, Werder have struggled to find the same sort of form this term, and subsequently find themselves sitting precariously one point off bottom and in serious danger of relegation from the Bundesliga.
And therefore enticing the forward to join the reigning European champions shouldn’t prove too hard a task for Klopp.
The forward registered seven goals and two assists in the first half of the 2019/20 season, but is yet to register a goal or an assist in 2020.
However, this comes as little surprise as Werder have only amassed three goals in that time, losing all but one of their games.
And with the calibre of players that Rashica would have around him at Liverpool, Klopp could have confidence that the Kosovan would refind his promising form from the first half of the campaign.
