Kuszczak training with Wolves

The 32-year-old former Manchester United keeper trained with the first team on Tuesday.

Aaron McCarey is out until January following back surgery and head coach Kenny Jackett is looking at experienced back-up for Carl Ikeme.

Kuszczak is a free agent after leaving Brighton in May also played for Wolves’ arch rivals West Brom between 2004 and 2007.

“If Carl got injured, it would be quite appealing to a number of people to go straight into the Wolves team,” Jackett told the Wolverhampton Express & Star.

“So we’d be getting a more experienced or better quality goalkeeper than a No.2.”
