Real Madrid have joined Juventus in the race for Liverpool midfielder Emre Can, according to various reports.

Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport and Spanish newspaper Marca claim that the La Liga giants will compete with Juve for the German international.

Can’s current contract expires in the summer, with no signs that he is any closer to penning a new deal at Anfield.

As a result, Jurgen Klopp may be forced into selling the former Leverkusen star in January, or he will risk losing the midfielder for free in the summer.

Juventus have been constantly linked with a move for the 23-year-old and reportedly want to sign him on a free transfer next summer.

However, the aforementioned outlets are claiming that Real Madrid are considering a bid for Can in January in an attempt to pip the Serie A champions to his signature.
