Arteta happy to see Arsenal star go as agent reaches out to Inter

The agent of Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette has reached out to Inter Milan to assess the Italian club’s interest in his client, according to a report.

Lacazette signed for Arsenal in 2017 but after three years at the club, reports have said his future is unclear.

Speculation over a move away continues to surround the Frenchman, with interested clubs said to include Inter and Atletico Madrid.

Arsenal are reportedly targeting Atletico’s Thomas Lemar and Lacazette could be used as a makeweight in a deal.

According to FCInterNews (via Sport Witness), though, the striker’s agent has spoken to Inter and asked about their interest in the 28-year-old.

The report says there has been “no signals” from Milan, who have offered a “lukewarm” response to the proposal.

FCInterNews adds that Gunners boss Mikel Arteta would have no problem in letting Lacazette leave.

While Inter are not keen on Lacazette, they are looking to sign two attackers this season – a replacement for Barcelona-bound Lautaro Martinez and a third attacker to expand his options.

Inter are reportedly looking at Roma striker Edin Dzeko, with Roma co-owner James Pallotta looking to raise funds.

Lacazette moved to The Emirates in 2017 and has scored 45 goals so far, including nine this season.

Speculation over his future rose last month when pictures showed him inhaling nitrous oxide, in a repeat offence which Arsenal promised to deal with internally.

A subsequent report claimed that contract talks between player and club have stalled.

Dani Ceballos TEAMtalk

Elsewhere, on-loan Arsenal midfielder Dani Ceballos has hinted that he could look to stay away from Madrid next season.

Ceballos arrived in London last summer but injury has scuppered his Gunners stay.

He has only made 14 Premier League appearances and, as it stands, he will soon return to Madrid.

However, he is likely to receive limited game time under Los Blancos boss Zindine Zidane.

As such, the Spaniard has hinted that he could look to move on again for next season.
