Lampard happy to go with duo, as Chelsea offer out Batshuayi

Michy Batshuayi TEAMtalk

Napoli have been offered Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi on loan, according to a Naples radio station.

Radio Marte reporter Dario Sarnataro has claimed that the Premier League side are content to let the Belgium striker leave on loan.

The Blues are reportedly even willing to cover some of the striker’s wages to get him off the books at Stamford Bridge.

Batshuayi is yet to feature for Chelsea’s first-team this season and has made the bench only once in the first three games with Frank Lampard going with Tammy Abraham as his no. 9.

The 25-year-old striker has struggled for regular game time at Stamford Bridge since joining the club from Marseille in 2016, and has spent time out on loan at Borussia Dortmund, Valencia and, most recently, Crystal Palace.

Earlier in the summer, according to Mercato365, Monaco were interested in the forward due to captain Radamel Falcao’s uncertain future.

Batshuayi did score two goals and grab one assist  in his single appearance for Chelsea’s U23’s side this term, but it appears Lampard does not fancy the forward, who was £33m recruit in July 2016.

If the striker does leave London it would leave Lampard with Abraham and Olivier Giroud as his senior strikers.
