West Ham newboy Manuel Lanzini is loving life at Upton Park after joining on loan from Al-Jazira in the summer.

Lanzini struck with two minutes remaining and the scores level in the 3-1 win at Crystal Palace on Saturday and now has three goals in nine matches.

“I’m very happy for the points and very happy too because we stay high in the table,” the Argentine told the club’s official website.

“It was also very pleasing to score. It was a fantastic performance and I just have to keep going and try to score more goals and give more performances like this one.”

The Hammers have impressed under new boss Slaven Bilic and currently sit fourth, but the 22-year-old is not surprised considering the quality in the squad, and has backed the team to improve.

“I think it is easy to play with players like Payet and Sakho and I have to work with them together to make sure we fit into how we’re trying to score goals,” he added.

“I’m very excited to play Chelsea next week. We have to continue from this performance and try to win against another big team like Chelsea.”
