Having missed a gilt-edged opportunity to put his side in front in the first half, Sylvan Ebanks-Blake made amends with 17 minutes remaining when he pounced on a loose ball to fire Wolves in front.

That goal looked destined to earn Wolves a vital win, but, with virtually the last kick of the game, Miller sent a superb free-kick from 20 yards into the top right-hand corner.

Michael Kightly almost put Wolves in front in the second half but his header from Matt Jarvis’ cross was blocked.

The goal looked to be coming for Wolves and so it proved when Ebanks-Blake (73) seized on a loose ball in the box and buried the shot past Bywater, but Miller’s late strike rescued Ipswich.
