Paper Talk: Man Utd, Chelsea zone in on Sancho as Dortmund open talks with Liverpool target

Borussia Dortmund have begun the search for a Jadon Sancho replacement, while Arsenal are expecting a bid for a midfielder – all in the latest Paper Talk.

DORTMUND CHASE JADON SANCHO REPLACEMENT

Borussia Dortmund have opened talks with Valencia winger Ferran Torres as they look to sign a replacement for the exit-bound Jadon Sancho, according to reports.

Sancho, who has been directly involved in 36 goals this term, has been strongly tracked by both Manchester United and Chelsea and is believed to be high up on the former club’s list of transfer targets.

Indeed, Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke has previously suggested that he is thinking about letting England international Sancho go, but insisted that he would be getting the winger’s full valuation.

Previous reports claimed that Dortmund have identified Torres as their ideal replacement and, according to the Daily Mirror, the Bundesliga side have gone a step further by opening talks with the 20-year-old.

Torres was promoted to Valencia’s first team in the 2017/18 campaign and made 16 appearances for the first team in his first season.

Last season, the youngster took a step up by having a hand in his side’s Champions League and Europa League campaigns and the Spain Under-21 international has scored six goals and assisted seven others this term.
