Leader emerges with talk of pre-contract for Aaron Ramsey

Aaron Ramsey TEAMtalk

Juventus will offer Aaron Ramsey a pre-contract in January, according to a report.

The want-away Arsenal midfielder has had the contract renewal from Arsenal taken away after months of talks ended in stalemate.

New Gunners boss Unai Emery wants to keep the Wales star and labelled him a “very important player” after the 5-1 win at Fulham, but the club will not be held to ransom over his demands.

Liverpool and Manchester United were believed to be heading the race. according to the London Evening Standard, but now the Daily Mail claim Juventus are set to make the first move.

They report that the 27-year-old will be offered a pre-contract from the Old Lady in January and he could then sign in the summer.

Ramsey is understood to be keen on a stay in England but Premier League clubs cannot speak to Ramsey in January. The player is settled with his family in London and his wife is soon to have twins.

However, the lure of a contract worth around £250,000 a week and a place alongside Cristiano Ronaldo may well sway the former Cardiff man, who has also been linked with Spurs.
