Leeds quoted £25m for Norwich star as Bielsa targets Brugge winger

Leeds United have reportedly been quoted £25million for a Norwich playmaker, while Marcelo Bielsa is also keen on a Brugge winger.

The Elland Road outfit are expected to have a busy summer, as they prepare for their return to the Premier League.

A number of players have already been linked with a move to west Yorkshire. But now two more can be added to that list.

A report in the Daily Mail claims that the Whites have enquired about Canaries attacking midfielder Emiliano Buendia.

However, they have been told that the Argentine, who made 37 appearances for Norwich this season, would cost around £25m.

Buendia, 23, only scored once last season but was outstanding when the Canaries won promotion in 2018-19.

Leeds keen on Brugges attacker

Another player on Leeds’ radar is Bruges winger Emmanuel Dennis, who has scored 27 goals in 96 games for the Belgian club.

The 22-year-old Nigerian is being lined-up after Leeds appeared to miss out on Jonathan David. The Gent attacker prefers a switch to Lille.

But Bielsa’s men will have competition for Dennis, who is also a target for Serie A giants Inter Milan.

Other targets for Leeds include Brentford duo Ollie Watkins and Said Benrahma, if the Bees fail to win promotion.

Wigan midfield prospect Sean McGurk could also join Latics teammate Joe Gelhardt at Elland Road. With Leeds set to announce a £1m deal for the latter this coming week.

Meanwhile, Leeds are keen on a deal to bring Espanyol striker Raul de Tomas to Elland Road this summer, according to reports in Spain. Read more…
