Leeds United are hopeful of beating a number of Premier League clubs to the signature of highly-rated Bury teenager Morgan Sadler, after opening negotiations over a potential deal.
Sadler is regarded as one of the best young talents in the lower leagues, after impressing for Bury over the last 12 months.
The exclusive comes via Football Insider, whose sources claim a number of Premier League clubs are tracking the youngster – including Fulham – but Leeds are reported to be the front-runners.
The Wales youth international joined Bury from Manchester City, after he was spotted by the Premier League champions as a talent at the age of 13.
Sadler was a regular performer in Bury’s Under-18s last season, and even featured in the Lancashire Senior Cup final against League One side Fleetwood Town.
Leeds are planning to strengthen their youth ranks as the look to continue their trend of promoting youngsters into the first-team fold, and the club – currently riding high under new manager Marcelo Bielsa – see Sadler as a potential star in the making.
