Leeds Prem fixtures announced: Huge Liverpool clash up first

Leeds celebrate

Leeds will resume life in the Premier League after a 16-year absence with a huge clash against champions Liverpool.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side sealed promotion back to the top flight after winning the delayed 2019/20 Championship title. Life back in the Premier League starts at Anfield on the weekend of September 12.

After facing Jurgen Klopp’s side on the opening day, Leeds then face fellow new boys Fulham at home, before travelling to Sheffield United and then Man City at home.

Leeds face Burnley at home on Boxing Day and then travel to Spurs on January 2, 2021.

The much-anticipated clashes with Man Utd are on December 19 (away) and April 24 (home).

Leeds end the season with games against Burnley (a), Southampton (a) and West Brom at home. The seaosn is scheduled to finish on May 23.

Leeds make third bid for Ben White

Leeds will hope to have loan star Ben White back in their ranks after making a third approach to Brighton for the defender.

The 22-year-old became a crucial component in Marcelo Bielsa’s side as Leeds secured promotion to the Premier League.

His partnership with Liam Cooper provided the foundation for what became the hallmark of Leeds’ promotion push.

A league-best 35 goals were conceded, and Leeds are determined to bring the impressive partnership with them into the top flight.

Upon expiry of White’s loan spell from Brighton, the Yorkshire outfit submitted bids of £18.5m and £22m for the player who has also attracted the interest of Liverpool.

However, Leeds have come back for a third time with another improved bid. It is expected to be their last.
