Leeds remain determined to acquire the services of Brighton defender Ben White after launching a third, improved bid for the defender.
His partnership with Liam Cooper provided the foundation for what became the hallmark of Leeds’ promotion push.
A league-best 35 goals were conceded, and Leeds are determined to bring the impressive partnership with them into the top flight.
Upon expiry of White’s loan spell from Brighton, the Yorkshire outfit submitted bids of £18.5m and £22m for the player who has also attracted the interest of Liverpool.
Both were rejected, but according to Sky Sports, Leeds have gone again.
They report that a third bid of £25m has been lodged with hopes high a deal can finally be reached after White again turned down the opportunity of a new contract at The AMEX.
A recent report reaffirmed Brighton’s reluctance to sell White, though with another improved bid tabled, it remains to be seen whether The Seagulls will finally agree to his departure.
Leeds preparing £10m bid for ex-Liverpool winger
Leeds Utd hope it will be third time lucky after a report revealed they are preparing another approach to sign a former Liverpool forward.
The 23-year-old had been a firm target for The Whites last summer, but Steven Gerrard’s side won the race after being impressed during his initial loan spell at Ibrox.
The Whites are determined once more to get their man, however, with the article stating they will make a ‘£10m bid’ for his services.
The player reportedly wishes to test his mettle and prove his worth in the Premier League, though Rangers are understandably reluctant to sell.
