Leeds announce club record Rodrigo Moreno deal; another to follow

Leeds have confirmed the club-record signing of striker Rodrigo Moreno from Valencia on a contract to 2024.
Marcelo Bielsa’s men have acted quickly after news broke on Tuesday morning they were in negotiations for the 29-year-old.
The Whites have identified attack as an area of priority in this summer’s transfer window. Bielsa wants support up top for Patrick Bamford after Jean-Kevin Augustin’s failed loan move.
After chairman Andrea Radrizzani and Victor Orta flew to Spain on Tuesday, it was revealed a deal had been been struck.
Valencia then posted an emotional farewell to their player on Tuesday evening.
However, with the player arriving in the city from Leeds on Thursday, supporters have waited anxiously for the deal to be confirmed.
However, Spanish football expert Guillem Balague correctly stated the deal would be announced by Leeds on Saturday.
In his tweet, he revealed the deal was worth €30m (£26.7m) plus a further €10m (£8.9m) in add-ons. That means the total deal could eventually cost Leeds £35.6m.
Shortly afterwards, Leeds themselves confirmed the deal. The striker has signed a four-year deal at Elland Road.

Discussing the signing for Leeds earlier this week, Orta is clearly a happy man
“He is the most expensive signing in our history,” Orta told Plaza Deportiva.
“I want to thank the club, Rodrigo’s father and the player. They have trusted us from the beginning. We have ambition to grow and we must thank Valencia, they have behaved very good. Hopefully we finish the documentation. For us it is a strategic signing to stabilise ourselves in the Premier League.
“It was a fair negotiation. I have been in football for 16 years and it is one of the first times that I see the three parties very happy.”
Leeds close in on Koch deal
Leeds are closing in on the signing of Robin Koch, who has reportedly already said goodbye to his Freiburg teammates.
Ahead of their return to the Premier League, Leeds have been scouring the market for defensive reinforcements. Their main target, of course, was Ben White, who played for them on loan from Brighton last season.
White became a key player at Elland Road, not missing a minute in the Championship as Leeds gained promotion. However, Brighton have kept a strong stance on the player, rejecting a number of bids for his permanent transfer.
With the asking price for White growing, Leeds have turned their attention elsewhere. And they now appear to be on the verge of signing their ideal alternative.
According to Kicker, Leeds have found an agreement with Freiburg to sign Koch for €13m plus bonuses. In fact, the player has already said his farewells.
Widespread reports claim that transfer will also be wrapped up this weekend.
€13m for Robin Koch is excellent business from Leeds.
Been on the club’s radar for the best part of a year and one we always had hopes of bringing in, subject to promotion.
As much as I love Ben White, this deal makes much more sense and exemplifies the inflated English market— James Marshment (@marshyleeds) August 28, 2020
