Leeds United have signed England youth striker Eddie Nketiah on a season-long loan from Arsenal.
The 20-year-old joins the Sky Bet Championship club until the end of the season and will replace for Kemar Roofe who joined Anderlecht for an undisclosed fee on Tuesday.
Bristol City were also interested in Nketiah, along with numerous other clubs, but Leeds got to the head of the queue after the Gunners decided to let him leave.
Leeds director of football Victor Orta has a great relationship with Arsenal boss Unai Emery and PA reported that Orta made a personal pitch to Arsenal for Nketiah on Tuesday.
The England Under-21 international has made 19 appearances in all competitions for the Gunners and has scored three times since making his debut in the Europa League clash against BATE Borisov in 2017.
