Leicester City are in talks with Sporting Lisbon over a possible deal for right winger Andre Carrillo, according to reports.
It is understood that a fee has yet to be agreed for the Peruvian international, but Leicester are hopeful Carillo can be captured before Tuesday’s 6pm deadline.
Carillo is entering his fifth season in Lisbon after joining from Peruvian side Alianza Lima in 2011.
The 24-year-old, who has 23 international caps, was a standout performer for Sporting last season as he scored seven goals and racked up 16 assists in all competitions.
Foxes manager Claudio Ranieri revealed last week he is happy with the squad he has but did not rule out another signing if the right opportunity presents itself.
The Italian said: “I’m happy, happy. We will keep our eyes open and if something happens, great but if not, I’m happy.”
