Leverkusen star admits concrete interest from Liverpool and Chelsea

Leon Bailey has confirmed that there is “concrete interest” in him from three sides, including a Premier League duo.
Bailey has emerged as one of Europe’s most exciting wingers during his time with Bayer Leverkusen, who he joined from Genk in 2017.
The 20-year-old impressed sufficiently in Belgium and Germany to be supposedly considered for an England call-up ahead of this summer’s World Cup.
But his future at club level is uncertain, with Bayern Munich reportedly lodging a £52.52m bid to sign him in May, but the Bundesliga champions are not one of the three clubs Bailey explicitly states are interested in him.
When asked what he thought of links with Chelsea, Liverpool and Roma, Bailey told Kicker: “There’s concrete interest.
“What I can say is that my full focus is on developing myself as a young player, and that’s what I’ll focus on. If a club wants me, my management and Bayer 04 will take care of it.”
But the winger is “focused” on Leverkusen for the time being.
“We want to play for the title. Bayern Munich is one of the three strongest teams in the world for me, but in football you never know,” he said.
“We have to be focused, then we can do a lot with our quality to reach our goal.”
