Liverpool starlet to be handed senior debut in MK Dons clash

Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher is to be handed his senior debut for the club in Tuesday’s EFL Cup clash with MK Dons, according to a report.

The 20-year-old, who is currently the Reds’ third choice between the sticks, has featured on the bench in each of Liverpool‘s last six games after a calf injury to Alisson saw Adrian pushed up the order.

According to Goal, Republic of Ireland youth international Kelleher will now be handed his debut for the Liverpool first team when the Reds travel to Stadium MK in the third round of the EFL Cup.

The news outlet adds that Liverpool staff have been impressed by the way Kelleher has deputised for Adrian and are happy to give him a game alongside an effort to rest the Spaniard, as he continues to fill in for Adrian in the Premier League and Champions League.

In other Liverpool news, the club have reportedly agreed a mega new kit deal with Nike that will eclipse the money earned by Manchester United in their current partnership with Adidas.
