Liverpool are closing in on the signing of a talented Sunderland youngster, according to the latest reports.
Sunday’s edition of The Sun claims that Jurgen Klopp’s side have struck a deal to sign Sunderland youngster Luca Stephenson for £500,000.
The 15-year-old midfielder has already drawn comparisons with Jordan Henderson, and is considering one of the brightest prospects that the Black Cats have.
Stephenson was reportedly happy to remain at Sunderland, however the offer from Liverpool was “too good to turn down”.
It is expected that the teenager will slot straight into Liverpool’s youth setup, possibly with the U18s – currently managed by Barry Lewtas.
