Sporting Lisbon playmaker Bruno Fernandes has decided on his future amid links with Premier League sides Liverpool and Tottenham, according to reports.
Sporting ultras reportedly staged an attack on the Sporting players after they missed out on qualifying for next season’s Champions League on the final day of the season as they finished third behind Porto and Benfica.
And Portuguese newspaper O Jogo claims that the incident that left Bas Dost wounded has seen Fernandes decide to leave the Portuguese side this summer.
The report continued by saying that Fernandes was left ‘terrified’ by the attack that saw a number of the club’s players left shaken.
Fernandes has scored 16 goals and created a further 12 for his Sporting team-mates this campaign after the club bought him from Sampdoria last summer.
And the Daily Mirror recently reported that Liverpool and Tottenham would interested in bringing the playmaker to England.
He is understood to have a €100million (£87million) release clause in his contract as he seems certain to leave the club before next season.
