Liverpool and Barcelona are set to be frustrated as a Leverkusen star will snub them, according to his agent.

Highly-rated 21-year-old Julian Brandt has received admiring glances from some of Europe’s top clubs, but he will reject them in favour of a Bundesliga star, his agent has claimed.

Bayern Munich and AC Milan are two of the latest clubs to be linked with a big-money move for his services.

Liverpool reportedly identified Germany international as a top target last summer before turning their attentions to current top scorer Mo Salah of Roma.

Barca were also strongly linked around that time as they looked for a replacement for PSG-bound Neymar.

Nonetheless, Brandt decided to stay with Bayer Leverkusen, and it will be the same this year according to his father and agent, Jurgen.

“Julian’s objective is to play in Europe with Leverkusen next season,” to told SportBild.

“He’ll definitely be here until 2019. Julian feels he has unfinished business at Leverkusen.”
