Liverpool battling Arsenal, Spurs for Valencia star with €25m clause
Arsenal have joined Liverpool and Tottenham in the race to sign a Valencia star in the summer, according to a report.
Italian outlet FcInterNews claims that the Premier League trio are battling it out for French midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia.
It is believed that the Gunners will look to buy a new midfielder in the summer with doubts over Granit Xhaka and the possibility that Jack Wilshere could leave.
As a result, Kondogbia – who is on loan at Valencia from Inter Milan – may be a possible option given the expectation that Arsenal will not be in the Champions League next season.
The former Monaco man has recently stated that he wants to stay at Valencia, with reports that the club have triggered the option to buy him in the loan deal which was set at €25m.
The midfielder’s agent was in Milan recently for talks over the 25-year-old’s future.
