Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp makes exciting summer transfer vow

Win or lose Saturday’s Champions League final, Jurgen Klopp is intent on adding more quality to his Liverpool squad.

RB Leipzig enforcer Naby Keita will arrive in the summer after Liverpool agreed a deal for the Guinea international last summer, but Liverpool’s recruitment will not end there.

Lyon attacking midfielder Nabil Fekir has been heavily linked with a move to Anfield, but according to L’Equipe, Liverpool have yet to formally approach the France international and will only do so after Saturday’s Champions League final against Real Madrid.

Speaking to Robbie Fowler in a video interview for the Daily Mirror in Marbella, Klopp admitted of his Liverpool squad: “We need more quality.

“What do we do? We brought in Naby Keita already, an outstanding player. We will bring in a couple more players, that will happen.

“We played without Adam Lallana and half a season without Philippe Coutinho. Two of the best players in whole Premier League. They didn’t play on the pitch for us.

“Can you imagine Phil Coutinho still in the team? And we play with the three up front and Phil at No.8 – that would have been nice.”

Meanwhile, Reds midfielder Jordan Henderson credited this amazing Klopp speech as the catalyst for their run to the Champions League final.
