Liverpool line up Southampton midfielder to replace Emre Can

Liverpool are planning another raid on Southampton, according to a report in France.

After signing Adam Lallana, Dejan Lovren, Nathaniel Clyne, Sadio Mane and Virgil van Dijk in recent seasons, Jurgen Klopp is being tipped to make another swoop on the south-coast club.

According to L’Equipe Mario Lemina is on the radar of Klopp, who could well be looking for a replacement for Emre Can in the summer.

Can looks set to leave for Juventus on a free transfer and Gabon international Lemina is being shortlisted as a potential replacement.

The 24-year-old midfield enforcer only arrived at St Mary’s last summer in a club-record £15.4million move, but he has been impressive, making 22 appearances, scoring once.

Lemina, who is contracted until 2022, was believed to be a target for Arsenal, but the reports claims Arsene Wenger has stepped away from a potential deal, leaving Liverpool to try and sign him this summer.
