Liverpool and Chelsea have been handed a boost as a report claims that one of their summer targets could be tempted to leave Barcelona.

According to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen is waiting to see what happens in the next few weeks with regards to a summer move.

The Reds were linked with the former Ajax man, with Mundo Deportivo claiming previously that Liverpool had approached the LaLiga giants over the possibility of gaining his services.

Cillessen man has also been linked with Chelsea, and has a reported €60m release clause in his deal.

It was claimed last week that Cillessen has ‘received offers from two great European clubs’ – and believe Barca could be forced to part with him for just €30m.

The latest report from Mundo Deportivo however suggests that the 29-year-old would prefer to stay at the Nou Camp.

However, he also has aspirations to become a starter at one of the top clubs in Europe, which means he could be tempted by a move to the Premier League, given that he would likely get a chance as either an upgrade on Loris Karius or a replacement for Thibaut Courtois.
