Liverpool and Manchester City each have two players – more than any other side side – in the latest list of Premier League players to have seen their value increased in 2019.
Jurgen Klopp‘s side claimed their first pieces of silverware under the German earlier this summer when they beat Tottenham in the Champions League final, before defeating Europa League holders Chelsea in the UEFA Super Cup in August.
City became the first team to retain the Premier League title in a decade when they pipped Liverpool to the title and, as such, both sides’ success has seen the value of some of their star players increase this year.
According to Transfermarkt‘s latest update, winger Sadio Mane is the player whose value has increased most – by £40.5m – with right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold joint-second with Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva, Chelsea’s Callum Hudson-Odoi and Arsenal’s Nicolas Pepe on £31.5m.
City midfielder Rodri has seen his value increase by £27m, as have Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Declan Rice and Son Heung-min while Mason Mount completes the list in sixth, his value increasing by £27.9m.
