Liverpool have learned that Lazio are reportedly open to selling goalkeeping target Thomas Strakosha – but they will face competition from a Bundesliga suitor to land the Albanian.

Jurgen Klopp have been linked with the 23-year-old as the Reds boss seeks a reliable replacement for Lorius Karius.

Strakosha has a price tag of €30million and according to Calciomercato sources, Lazio are prepared to sell the player if a buyer meets their asking price.

The Reds have turned their attention to Strakosha after deals for Alisson and Gianluigi Donnarumma proved to be too expensive.

According to Italian journal Il Messaggero last weekLiverpool were ready to open talks with Lazio over a potential deal for the player.

Liverpool, however, are not the only club interested with Bayern Leverkusen also in the market for a new goalkeeper after selling Bernd Leno to Arsenal for €25million.
