Sheyi Ojo: Tipped to have a good season

Fulham are expected to be without on-loan winger Sheyi Ojo for a lengthy period of time after he suffered a dislocated shoulder against QPR on Friday night.

The Liverpool youngter joined the Cottagers on a season-long loan over the summer and was making his seventh appearance of the season for Slavisa Jokanovic’s side.

However, Ojo but was forced off the field after 55 minutes, having landed awkwardly following a challenge from Joel Lynch.

He was stretchered off the field and taken to hospital, with Jokanovic revealing after the 2-0 win that Ojo had dislocated his shoulder.

“Unfortunately we have another player in hospital tonight,” added Fulham boss Jokanovic. “It is some kind of dislocation of his shoulder.

“But hopefully after the international break we will get some of our important players back.”

The player is expected to be sidelined for three months with the injury and is expected to return to Merseyside to continue his rehabilitation.

Jokanovic, meanwhile, was relieved to see his side hold on for a 2-1 win during a frantic finale.

“I am always happy with three points and to win a west London derby,” he added.

“We had to be brave. The last few minutes it was a completely different game. A lot of things were happening in the penalty box, but we defended well.”
