Liverpool given boost as PSG stars set to miss UCL clash

Liverpool’s preparations for their Champions League opener against PSG next week have taken a boost with the news that several of their opponents’ key players will be unavailable.
The Reds get their European campaign underway on Tuesday night at Anfield, as they take on the Ligue 1 champions.
PSG were the top seed for the group stage draw, and represent a stern test for Jurgen Klopp’s side, but they will be without several starters.
This Is Anfield observe that Gianluigi Buffon and Marco Verratti are both suspended for the game, while full-backs Dani Alves and Layvin Kurzawa are long-term injury absentees. Lassana Diarra is also doubtful with a knee injury.
As for Klopp, should his players come through Saturday’s clash with Tottenham injury-free, only Dejan Lovren, Adam Lallana and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are set to miss out.
The other Group C game takes place on the same day between Red Star Belgrade and Napoli.
