Liverpool have been handed a boost as one of their goalkeeping targets has had their future thrust into doubt.
Agent Mino Raiola has spoken out about the situation surrounding his client Gianluigi Donnarumma amid speculation over his future at Milan.
The talented young shot-stopper was embroiled in a saga over the summer as it was revealed he would turn down a new deal with his boyhood club in favour of an exit, but he eventually U-turned and penned fresh terms.
Recent reports have suggested that Raiola has already been in contact with Paris Saint-Germain over a possible summer move, while Manchester United and Liverpool have been credited with interest in the teenager.
Now, the Italian ‘super-agent’ has lifted the lid on the situation surrounding ‘Gigio’.
Raiola told Rai: “Donnarumma made a choice which is to stay at Milan, and I respect that.
“However, If he was to ask me to leave I would immediately work on it because there are important requests.
“In fact if it was up to me Gigio would leave Milan.”
